70 jobs to go at college

Up to 70 jobs are set to go at Gloucestershire College to help it deal with major funding cuts.

The college has told Heart it is also closing it's three 'do IT' training centres in Cheltenham, Gloucester and Tewkesbury.

Staff at the college face a budget cut of £1.3 million next year, but that figure could reach £4 million in three years time.

Most of the jobs are expected to be lost at the training centres, but any students currently studying there should be able to finish their courses before the centres close in the summer, or they can move to the main Gloucester campus.
