A 20 year old Cinderford man has been killed in collision between two cars on Plump Hill.

It happened shortly after 8pm on Tuesday on the A4136 between Mitcheldean and Nailbridge, when a silver Vauxhall Zafira collided with a blue Honda Jazz travelling in the opposite direction.
A HEMS doctor from the Wiltshire Air Ambulance Service at Devizes was called to the scene to help paramedics, but despite carrying out CPR, the driver of the Honda Jazz sadly died at the scene.

Officers from the specialist Tri-Force Collision Investigation Unit have started an investigation and would like to speak to any witnesses who may have seen the collision or who may have travelled the A4136 at the time.

They also want to speak to anyone who may have travelled the road and who may have an in-car video system that may contain footage of either cars involved or the road around the time of the collision.

A specially trained Family Liaison Officer is supporting the family of the man.

If you can help the investigating team please contact Gloucestershire Constabulary on 101 and quote log: 486 of Tuesday 14th July 2015.
