A 10 year old boy has been involved in what police are calling a 'serious' collision with a black van in Gloucester.
The young pedestrian was involved in the RTC on Tuesday morning (13/01/15).
Heart has been told he has been flown to to Birmingham Children's Hospital with serious head injuries.
Police were called to the incident on Eastern Avenue around 08:30 on Tuesday. Offciers say it happened between the Coney Hill Road, Painswick Road junctions, on the Chequers Road side.
That road was closed for a while to allow the air ambulance to land to take the boy to hospital.
It has now reopened.
