A man had his jaw broken in two places after he was attacked in Gloucester Park.
On April 15th police say a 28 year old man from the city was walking through Gloucester Park from Brunswick Square shortly after 8 pm, and as he walked past the aviary he saw a group of six men. One of them spoke to him.
He ignored them and carried on walking but he got near the bandstand he was hit from behind and fell to the ground. He was then kicked on his body. Although bleeding, he managed to get up and walk out of the park.
The victim did not see who hit him but he thinks it was one of the men he walked past. Nothing was stolen. He was taken by ambulance to GRH where they confirmed his jaw was broken in two places.
Anyone who has information about the incident is asked to contact Gloucestershire Police on 101, quoting Incident Number 455 of 15 April and crime number CR/00818/15.
