Man seriously hurt in Gloucester attack

Police in Gloucester want to speak to four teenagers about an attack in the city early on Saturday morning.

The incident happened outside the Royal Mail depot in Eastern Avenue between midnight and 1.30am, when a  27-year-old man was attacked by what are alleged to be four boys, aged around 17 or 18.

He was treated at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital for serious injuries.

DC Grace Samuel, of Gloucester CID, said:

“We are appealing for witnesses and particularly for the driver of a blue ‘old style’ Peugeot who stopped near the scene and spoke to the victim after the attackers had fled."
