A man has been stabbed at a petrol station in Gloucester.

Two men are thought to have gone into the JET garage on London Road at 4:40am on Bank Holiday Monday before attacking him.

The 38-year-old victim has been taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital with injuries consistent with a stabbing.

The petrol station was cordoned off for much of yesterday morning but that has now been lifted.

Anyone who saw what happened, or may have information, is being asked to phone Gloucestershire Police on 101, quoting incident number 75 of 27th August.
