A motorcyclist has died following a collision in Cheltenham.
It happened at around 2.45pm on Sunday when a black Honda Motorcycle, ridden by a 26 year old man from Bishops Cleeve, was travelling on the A40 Gloucester Road in the direction of Benhall Roundabout. The motorbike was in collision with a black Ford Focus driven by a 50 year old local man.
Members of the public, including an off duty paramedic and off duty police officer, administered emergency first aid at the scene. The Ambulance and Police emergency services took over but sadly the motorcyclist’s life could not be saved and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision and are requesting that the driver of a black vehicle, which was initially waiting to turn right into Benhall Gardens and then drove on towards Benhall roundabout moments prior to the collision, to please make contact.
