Plans for new play areas across Gloucestershire have been scrapped.

The Government has withdrawn nearly half a million pounds of funding as it continues it's bid to bring down the national debt.

It'll affect projects in Battledown and The Moors in Cheltenham, Primrose Hill in the Forest of Dean, Matson Park and The Lannet in Gloucester, Eastcombe and Summer Crescent in Stroud, Innsworth and Winchcombe.

While play areas in Benhall Park in Cheltenham, Brockweir in the Forest and Saul face an uncertain future.

The money being taken away was part of a Playbuilder scheme, set up by the previous Government.
