Stroud bids to be an 'apple town'

Britain's first ever 'Apple Town' could be right here in Gloucestershire.

Stroud is making a bid for the title to celebrate the town's historic links to cider making and orchards.

It would also be used to encourage more people to eat healthily and use more local produce.

An open meeting is going on tonight at The Exchange in Brick Row, starting at 7.30pm, to try and get more people behind the move.
