Teenage Girl Charged With Assaulting Police Officers

A 17-year-old girl has been charged with assaulting two police officers in Stroud.

They were attacked while responding to reports of concern for someone's welfare near the Travis Perkins in Wallbridge on Monday.
 
The teenager has been charged with two counts of assault by beating of an emergency worker.
 
She has been released on bail to appear at Cheltenham Youth Court on Friday 21st December.
 
Police say there were a number of people nearby at the time and are asking anyone who hasn't spoken to police yet to phone them on 101, quoting incident 257 of 3 December.
