Three men armed with a gun forced their way into a house in Borehamwood and demanded money.

They got into the house in Aycliffe Road between twenty past and twenty five past nine last Sunday.

When the woman said she had no money the men left empty-handed.

The first man was black, aged between 25 and 30, about 5ft 4ins tall, of medium build with plaited hair, a Jamaican accent and wearing a navy blue tracksuit.

The second was a black man, aged 19 or 20, of slim build, about 6ft tall, and was wearing a grey hooded top with black tracksuit bottoms and a black baseball cap.

The third suspect was also black, 5ft 4ins tall, with a stocky build and short hair. He was wearing a black body-warmer with black tracksuit bottoms and had a gold tooth on the upper right side of his mouth.

Detective Constable Paul Spencer from the Local Crime Unit in Borehamwood said: "This was a nasty ordeal for the woman at the house, who fortunately was not injured, but was very shaken.

"I am appealing for anyone with information on this crime to contact me. In particular, if you saw three men matching the descriptions above enter a house in this area on the Sunday morning, when it would have been a quiet time of day, I would like to hear from you."
