Hertfordshire's police are trying to trace a man after a 90 year old woman had a load of cash taken from her account by someone using her bank card in Harpenden.
It happened after a man had started a conversation with her as she went to get into her car in the car park of Waitrose in Leyton Road at around 10.15am on Wednesday 29 February 2012.
A short while later her cash card was used, without her knowledge, at Barclays Bank in the High Street in Harpenden and a large amount of money was withdrawn.
Investigating Officer PC Ann Marie Owen said: “We would like to hear from anyone who thinks they may recognise the man in the CCTV footage. We would like to speak to him in connection with this crime – he may have vital information which could help this case.”
If you recognise this man you're asked to call Hertfordshire Constabulary's non-emergency number 101 quoting reference number F2/12/351.
Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. You do not have to give your name and you could be entitled to a cash reward.
