Hundreds Of Jobs At Watford Jobs Fair

Richard Harrington MP is holding a second Watford Jobs Fair today and hundreds of jobs are up for grabs.

Following the success of last years Fair which saw 4,500 people attend with over 300 people getting jobs in small companies alone, Richard wanted to hold another Fair this summer giving people in Watford another opportunity to find work and gain skills training.

Around 60 local companies and organisations will be there on the day, with hundreds of jobs and apprenticeships on offer from small local businesses to large local employers including Hilton, Warner Bros and BRE.

In addition there will be seminars running through the day as well as skills workshops on CV writing and one to one advice available.

The Fair is running from 10 am to 4pm at the Langley Banqueting Suites, Watford High Street. All are welcome to attend and it is completely free of charge.

It is supported by Watford based company Camelot, and in partnership with Watford JobCentre Plus, West Herts College and the National Apprenticeship Service.

Richard said:

“ I was very pleased with the success of the Fair last year, but high unemployment remains and small local businesses find it difficult to recruit. As such I am holding another Fair this month to help people find work and gain skills.

“ I am delighted that so many local companies are taking part, of all sizes and across all sectors. There really will be something for everybody on the day, and I hope that as many people as possible come on the day and make the most of the event.”
