New details on the proposed Croxley Rail Link are being released to the public today.

If the plans go ahead the Metropolitan line would be extended from Croxley, to Watford Junction, through Watford High Street.

The new information includes details on the accessibility of the new stations and what the viaduct might look like.

A final decision should be made by the government before Christmas which Rob Smith, Assistant Director for Transport Management for Hertfordshire says it's great news ''We're really excited about the prospect of delivering this key bit of transport infrastructure that will help a really important part of Watford to prosper and develop and unlock all kinds of opportunities for the community.''
