X Factor stars One Direction have announced they're going to play an intimate gig in Watford just before they start their UK tour.
It'll take place at Watford's Colosseum just before Christmas, on Sunday 18 December 2011. They will then play Southend Cliffs Pavilion, Essex on Monday 19 December.
The boys are no strangers to performing to huge crowds after wowing fans on The X Factor Live Tour earlier in 2011, but the band wanted to get closer to their fans before they hit the road on their first 21 date headline tour.
These two additional concerts will see the group performing songs from their debut album, released in November 2011, alongside some of their favourite covers and a few surprises.
After coming third on the X Factor in 2010, the group's debut single 'What Makes You Beautiful' shot to No.1 on iTunes within fifteen minutes of being released and achieved the biggest weekly sales of 2011, selling more than 150,000 copies. Their second book 'Dare to Dream' also rocketed to No.1.
Tickets for the gigs in Watford and Southend go on sale from 10am on Saturday 8 October 2011. The £27.00 tickets are strictly available on a first come first served basis and restricted to a maximum of 4 tickets per person or transaction.
On concert day, children under 14 years old must be accompanied by an adult (at least 18yrs old) with a maximum of four under 14s in the care of one adult.
