A 15 year old was robbed and assaulted whilst on a bus in Bushey.
Police say he was threatened by another teenager and had his mobile phone stolen as the vehicle was travelling along Bushey Heath High Road at about 11:45pm last Wednesday night (August 24th).
The suspect is described as a black man, aged 15 to 17, about 5ft 8ins tall, with a beard, a black bandana round his neck, a black body warmer, a black hoody and black jogging bottoms.
The victim was uninjured, but his phone was taken.
PC Jo Windsor, investigating, has been telling Heart: “I am appealing for anyone who was on the bus at the time of the incident and saw it take place to contact me.
“In particular, I would like to speak to a man who challenged the offender after he took the boy’s phoned and asked that he give it back. This man said he worked at Oceana, where the victim was prior to the incident, and we would really like to speak to this ‘Good Samaritan’ who tried to help.”
“Alternatively, if you have any other information about this incident and can help identify the boy responsible, I would also encourage you to get in touch.”
Anyone with information should call investigating officer PC Windsor via the non-emergency number 101, citing crime reference number J2/11/1139. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers (an independent charity) anonymously on 0800 555111.
