A 14-year-old boy has been robbed in Borehamwood.
It happened on Friday, 18th March on Furzehill Road at about 9.50pm. Two people approached the teenager and demanded he hand over his property.
During the struggle that followed the victim was hit in the face, and the offenders took his bag, which contained an expensive set of headphones.
The right side of the boy's face was swollen and bruised because of the assault.
Detective Constable Noel Buckley of the Borehamwood Local Crime Unit is investigating and said:
“This incident would have been distressing for the victim and we are working hard to trace those responsible. To assist us with our inquiries, I would urge anyone who saw this incident or knows anything about it to please come forward.
“In particular, we would like to speak to the driver of a silver Vauxhall vehicle as a potential witness, as we believe they were driving in Furzehill Road at the time of the incident and may have seen something which could prove vital to our investigation. I would ask this driver and anyone else who has information to please make contact with us.”
If you have any information about the incident you can contact DC Buckley on 0845 33 00 222 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
