Police investigating an assault in St Albans city centre just before Christmas have released new pictures of a man they want to trace.
There was a fight between a man, a woman and a group of men in the St Peter's Street area in the early hours of Friday 21 December 2012.
Hertfordshire Constabulary say the trouble began in the doorway of Subway, and continued along St Peter's Street, where the man was assaulted by members of the group of men.
Police say passers-by then intervened and took the man away from the group, but he was then approached by two men, believed to be from the original group, who went on to assault him further.
DC Andrew Yuill from the Local Crime Unit in St Albans said: “We have made a number of appeals for information and released numerous CCTV images of people we would like to speak with as part of our inquiries.
“I would ask people to look closely at these latest images and contact me if you recognise the person pictured.
I would also like to once again appeal for anyone who knows who was responsible to contact police or Crimestoppers.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact DC Andrew Yuill via the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference number F1/12/4041. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers, the independent charity, anonymously on 0800 555 111.
