Part of the Wiggenhall estate in Watford has been evacuated after an object, thought to be a mortar, was found.
Police were called at 8.37am this morning to Wiggenhall Road opposite the Irish Centre.
Bomb disposal experts from the MoD have been sent, however they haven't confirmed yet whether it is a mortar.
Mike who works at MW Car Sales told Heart: "We got to work this morning and police came along and evacuated us to a yard next door. We were outside for around half an hour to 45 minutes, and then a bomb disposal truck turned up."
Part of the industrial estate by Cardiff Road and nearby houses were evacuated, but everyone has now been allowed back into their homes and work.
