Cyclist robbed in broad daylight

Police are appealing for information following a robbery in Watford which happened on Friday ( February 11th).
The incident happened shortly before 1.45 pm when the 27 year old male victim had been cycling along a rural footpath between Eastbury Road and Riverside Road.
The offender has stopped in the middle of the path forcing the victim to slow down before offering to sell him drugs and then demanding money from him.
The victim handed cash over to the man before he took it and made off in a direction unknown.
The victim carried on cycling in the direction of Riverside.
The man is described as around 5ft 10 inches to 5ft 11 inches tall and in his mid twenties. He is of slim build is clean shaven and is slightly tanned and was also wearing a gold hoop earring.
He was also wearing a blue Adidas hoody, black NY baseball cap and Adidas tracksuit bottoms.
Detective Sergeant Ian Siggery, from Watford police station, who is investigating the crime said: “The description of the clothes and accessories this man was wearing are very distinctive and I would urge anyone who may recognise the description of this man, or who may have witnessed anyone acting suspiciously in the area at the time of the incident to come forward.”
