Watford-born boxer Anthony Joshua has had his Gold Medal win recognised in the town where he grew up.

Joshua only took up the sport 4 years ago after being taken to a Finchley Amateur Boxing Club by his cousin.

But even though he might be a newcomer, his skill shone though in his fight with Italy's Roberto Cammarelle in the Super-Heavyweight division.

Heart has spoken to the Mayor of Watford, Dorothy Thornhill and she remembers Anothony, or Femi as he's called by friends and family, playing in her garden when he was a little boy.

She was on Twitter throughout his bout and after the post box was painted Gold in Watford she tweeted, "Off to post office to see if Anthony Joshua 's stamps are for sale yet I will then post cards in Golden Post Box . I am one chuffed mayor !"
