Police are trying to find the owner of two horses which were found in the middle of a housing estate in North Watford.
A call was received at around 2:25am last Wednesday saying the animals were spotted in South Way - police found them though about a mile away in Ganders Ash.
The mother is described as white with brown patches on its rear hind and on his head. The foal is described as white with brown patches on its stomach and front leg.
The horses were taken to a secure stable and officers have since been trying to track down their owners.
PC Iain Brunt from the Neighbourhood Team at North Watford Police Station said: “At the moment we do not know how they came to be in the housing estate. The horses were in a reasonably good condition when they were found and are now being looked after until we trace the owner.
“If you believe you are the owner, or if you know who might be please contact me via the non-emergency number, 0845 3300222, as soon as possible.”
