A crash involving a lorry caused big problems for drivers on the southbound M1 trying to get onto the M25 on Tuesday 15 February 2011.
The crash, just before 7am, saw the lorry clip a barrier and overturn, spilling diesel onto the slip road connecting the southbound M1 and both clockwise and anti-clockwise carriageways of the M25.
The slip road had to be closed so the mess could be cleaned up and the road repaired.
Traffic trying to get onto the M25 towards Dartford was diverted using M1 J7, the M10 and then the A405, before joining the M25 at J21a. Traffic trying to get onto the M25 towards Heathrow was diverted using M1 J6 and the A405, before joining the M25 at J21a.
