A lorry driver's been left seriously injured after a car reversed into him in a hit and run in Watford.

The driver had just got out of his cab when a hatchback car knocked into him. The car drove off without stopping.

It happened on Greycaine Road, near the Junction with Bushey Mill Lane just before 5.30 pm on Tuesday 6 September 2011.

The motives for this unprovoked attack are unknown, but it is possible that the driver of the car followed the lorry from Junction 21A of the M25 all the way to where the lorry parked on Greycaine Road.

Detective Sergeant Dan Stoddart, who is investigating, said: "I am appealing for anyone who may have seen the incident on Greycaine Road where the man was run over to come forward.

"I am also keen to speak with anyone who may have witnessed dangerous driving on the M25 near junction 21A involving an articulated lorry carrying a white shipping container and a hatchback type car, or who may have seen these two vehicles on their way towards Greycaine Road."
