Volunteers Join Police To Find Missing Alan

Volunteers have joined over 100 police officers in the search for 73 year old Alan Spray, who has gone missing in St Albans.

Mr Spray, who suffers from dementia, was last seen near the Total garage on Verulam Road in St Albans at around 8.10pm on Saturday (July 30.)

A dog unit, specialist search teams and the force helicopter concentrated their efforts in the Verulam Road and Batchwood areas of the city on Wednesday.

Today (Thursday August 4th) they have been searching fields on the outskirts of St Albans.

He is described as white, approximately 5ft 9ins tall, is balding on top with grey hair to the side and wears light reactive glasses. He was described as wearing a brown and blue checked short sleeve shirt and brown/grey trousers and may be carrying a book.

Herts police urged those who live in the Verulam Road area to check their sheds and garages or anywhere that someone might hide.

Anyone who sees him is asked to call the police.
