Detectives investigating a robbery in Watford are releasing CCTV images of a man they would like to identify as part of their inquiries.
It happened on Thursday November 27 at around 11am. A man in his late 70s had withdrawn a large sum of cash from the HSBC bank in Chalk Hill and was just about to get back into his car, which was parked outside, when he was grabbed from behind.
The man, who uses a walking stick, was pushed to his floor and his money taken. The man received grazes to his arms and pain in his chest.
Detective Constable Hannah Curnow from the Watford Local Crime Unit is investigating and said: "This was an appalling attack on an elderly man going about his business. I would like to identify the man pictured as he may have information that could assist my investigation.
"If you recognise the man, or witnessed the incident, please contact me as soon as possible via Hertfordshire Constabulary's non-emergency number 101 quoting crime reference C1/14/5653. Alternatively people can call Crimestoppers, the independent charity, anonymously on 0800 555 111.
