Two men caught in an undercover police drug operation in Watford have been jailed.

Ahmed Ahmed, 21, was sentenced to four years and Scott Anthony, 19, to a total of three after they supplied heroin to an undercover cop called Kate.

Andrea Scott Lynch, for the Crown Prosecution Service, said that Kate was introduced as a potential customer in October last year.

On 17 October she bought drugs from Ahmed in Goodwood Avenue. Two days later she went to Ashley Court and offered Ahmed play station games in return for heroin.

He refused and offered her drugs on "tic" but she then paid him £10. Wraps of heroin were supplied again on 19th, 20th, 25th, 26th November at Woodman's Court and by the canal in Water Lane.

Kate went back to Ashley Court on 14 November and asked for Brandy - slang for heroin - and came away with a wrap from Ahmed.

Anthony supplied her with the drug on 15 November. Two days later she met Ahmed again after co-defendants had been arrested.

"Mr Ahmed wanted to make sure she was not a police officer and looked in her handbag. He asked her to take drugs in front of him. She refused but he said she had to on the next occasion. There was no next occasion and he was arrested,". said the prosecutor

Amed of Turton House, Barnfield, London SE18 admitted one court of being concerned in the supply of a Class A drug and 9 counts of supplying a Class A drug. Anthony of Monica House, Watford pleaded guilty to supplying a Class A drug.
