Child Car Seat Clinics

Parents in Kent offered chance to get their child's car seat checked by experts

Parents in Kent are being offered the chance to get their car child seats checked for free this week at special car clinics run by the council.

Experts say even if you are going just five miles an hour a badly fitted car seat can mean a child being seriously injured in a crash.

The Good Egg campaign is being run by KCC and Medway Council - as part of a national campaign.  Posters will also be seen on the back of buses asking drivers and parents 'is your child sitting safely?'

There is also a free booklet being given out to provide information about fitting seats safely for parents.

Car clinics will take place in the following locations - all run from 10am to 3pm:

Wednesday 20th - Monkey Biz, Chatham

Thursday 21st - Westwood Cross Shopping Centre, Thanet

Friday 22nd - Tesco, Courtney Road, Gillingham

Saturday 23rd - Morrisons, Ten Perch Road, Canterbury

Tuesday 26th - Ashford Designer Outlet

Wednesday 27th - Hempsted Valley, Gillingham
