E-fit From Attempted Robbery In Thanet

A man was walking with his wife in Margate when they were approached by a man armed with a broken bottle who demanded money.

The incident happened at 11.30 pm on Thursday 17 April near the Salvation Army Citadel in Addington Street, Margate.

The suspect is described as white, aged 18, of thin build, 5ft 10in tall with fair cropped hair. He was wearing a white shirt and dark jeans.

Two men in a car stopped and came to the couple’s assistance and started to chase the suspect away. The men then took the couple to their friend’s house.

Police would also like to trace these men as they may be important witnesses.
