Fire crews are tackling a fire at a derelict building in Dartford, people near Lowfield Street have been asked to keep windows and doors closed.


Kent Fire and Rescue Service are currently at the scene of a fire in a derelict building on Lowfield Street, Dartford. Crews are fighting the fire from the outside due to the building being structurally unsound. 

Crews are using a variety of firefighting tools including hose reel jets, fogspike and cold cut firefighter system to tackle the fire. Fogspike and cold cut firefighting system are both designed to create a hole in the exterior of a building and spray a water mist inside rapidly bring the temperature of the fire down.
