Gillingham: murder arrest

Detectives investigating the death of a pensioner in Gillingham have arrested a teenager.

The 17-year-old from Sheerness is being held on suspicion of murder.

Police were called to an address in Capstone Road on Tuesday morning.

They say the victim had suffered head injuries.

A Kent Police spokesman said: "Officers attended along with ambulance staff, who confirmed that the man had died. It was apparent he had suffered head injuries.''
