Two men have been arrested on suspicion of threatening a man with a machete after a police chase through Kent.
Police received a report that a man had been approached by two men who threatened him with the weapon in a private car park in Sutherland Avenue, Bexhill-on-Sea, East Sussex.
The victim was unharmed and the two men drove off in a blue BMW car at about 9.30am on Saturday.
The suspects were pursued by a police helicopter and armed response vehicles up to the M25 near Sevenoaks, Kent, before it passed through the Dartford Tunnel into Essex, where it was stopped near junction 30, about one-and-a-half hours later at 11am.
A Sussex Police spokesman said: ``Two men have been arrested on suspicion of various offences, including drink-driving, taking a vehicle without consent and making threats to kill, and are being held in police custody at Hastings pending further inquiries.''
