Man Arrested After Car Hits Train In Kent

A man's been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving after a car hit a train at a level crossing close to Halling station in Kent yesterday.

Yesterday British Transport Police were called to the local train station.

Just before 1.45pm officers had received reports that a Southeastern train had clipped a car on the level crossing.

A 58 year old man from Longfield has been released under investigation.

Enquiries are continuing into the circumstances surrounding the collision.
