Man Attacked With Substance In Maidstone

A man's been sprayed with an unknown substance by two men who tried to steal his dog in a village near Maidstone.

He was taken to hospital after it happened off Hubbard's Lane in Boughton Monchelsea yesterday morning.

The dog was checked by a vet.

The first man is described as being in his 40s and of a large build. He was wearing a white shirt and jeans.

The second man is described as being in his 30s and slim.

Detective Sergeant Jemma Cropper said: "We are urging dog walkers in the area to be vigilant and are advising them to keep dogs on leads.

"We are also appealing for anyone with information about the incident or who recognises the descriptions of the two men to contact us."
