Man Charged Over Bank Holiday Burglaries

A 25-year-old man has been charged in connection with burglaries in Thanet and the surrounding area.

 

Jordan Line, of Margate Road in Ramsgate was charged with conspiring with others to steal from various people between 5 and 6 May 2019.

The charge was authorised by the Crown Prosecution Service following 16 reports received by Kent Police regarding burglaries and attempted burglaries in Thanet, Whitstable, Herne Bay and Canterbury. The majority of the alleged offences took place at business premises and money was reportedly stolen.

Mr Line was arrested on Thursday 9 May 2019, along with a 26-year-old man from Ramsgate who has been released under investigation.

Mr Line appeared at Medway Magistrates' Court via virtual link on Friday 10 May where he was remanded in custody.

He will next appear at Canterbury Crown Court on Thursday 13 June.
