School Coach Crashes in Dover

A school coach has crashed in Dover and 14 children have been taken to hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

Kent Police were called to an incident on the roundabout on the A20 off J13 on the M20 this morning at 0945 involving a coach carrying children and adult passengers from a primary school in Dover.

South East Coast Ambulance Service is also attending and is currently assessing and treating minor injuries at the scene.

Kent Police's Chief Inspector Geoff Wood said: 'We do not believe there are any serious injuries, however precautionary measures are being taken. Where appropriate those injured will be taken to hospital to be treated or for further assessment.  Only once we have ensured the safety of all those involved, we will then begin an investigation as to how this incident has occurred.'

The coach was carrying children from years 2 and 3 from Guston Church of England Primary School.  The school has contacted parents direct, however should parents of children from years 2 and 3 have any concerns, please contact the school.
