Man arrested on suspicion of Sittingbourne drug offences

A man's been arrested on suspicion of drug offences in Sittingbourne.

Officers were on a routine patrol in Rectory Road yesterday evening (17th September) at around 6pm, when a vehicle came to their attention.

Police believed the vehicle may have been involved in drug dealing and carried out a search.

Inside the car drugs, cash, scales and plastic bags were found.

Further searches of the driver's home address also revealed more cash, a number of mobile phones and an amount of cannabis.

A 36-year-old man from Sittingbourne was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply cannabis.

He remains in custody at this time while police enquiries continue.
