Teen Parents Get Support in Medway

A series of 'Young Parent' open days are taking place.

The events aim to provide information about housing, childcare and education and support to quit smoking as well as how to stay healthy.

The first open day took place last week and was organised by NHS Medway, Medway Council and the Connextions service in Medway, which is delivered by the Medway Youth Trust.

Jinny Robinson, Medway's Teenage Pregnancy Strategic Co-ordinator said "The open day is an excellent opportunity for young families to get practical advice and information and will help them feel more confident about the choices available to them."

Nadia Shalan, Medway Youth Trust - Locality Manager, said: “We are delighted to host this open day and look forward to welcoming expectant families, mums and dads as well as their babies and children.”
