Teenage Boy Arrested On Suspicion Of Canterbury Drugs Offences

A man and a teenage boy have been arrested on suspicion of drug offences in Canterbury.

A 15-year-old boy from Essex was arrested in the city by police on Sunday (10 February).

He was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of drugs.

A mobile phone and cash were also taken by officers.

The teenager has been released under investigation.

After the arrest, police made further enquiries, and arrested a 19-year-old man from Canterbury on Monday (11 February).

He was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of drugs and human trafficking.

He has been bailed until Sunday 3 March 2019 while enquiries continue.

Police say there is an ongoing initiative known as Operation Raptor.

The operation aims to tackle, disrupt and prevent violent crime and the possession of offensive weapons, as well as the supply of class A drugs.
