Vicious Attack on Folkestone Man

Police appeal for information after attack that's left man with serious injuries

Kent police in Folkestone are appealing for witnesses following an assault on a 29 year-old local man, which happened in the vicinity of the junction of Tram Road and Morrison Road, at around 18.00hrs on 5.10.10.

It is believed the male suspect got out of a white Ford Fiesta and approached a man, hitting him on the back of the head which caused severe head injuries.

The man attended William Harvey hospital, and was transferred to a London hospital, where he is currently said to be stable and improving.

"I am keen to speak to anyone who may have information regarding this incident." Said DI Angie Hobbs. "The injured man has not been able to give details about the incident due to his injury. It was a vicious attack carried out at a time when people would have been out and about."

Four persons have been arrested in connection with this incident, and bailed pending further enquiries.
