Heart Breakfast's Dog of the Week

This week Dogs Trust Canterbury is appealing for a home for Smurf.

Smurf is a 4 year old scrappy Dachshund cross who has bundles of energy and character. He can be a cheeky chap but it is all in good fun! He loves his woodland walks and has proven he is a sharp cookie here at Canterbury and will do well with further positive training once in the home.

Smurf’s ideal home will be with an active family who have had dogs in the past. Any children in the home will need to be sensible 12 plus as he can be nervous at times. He likes attention and can be a bit of a diva, which is why he will be best suited as an only pet so he can get the lion’s share of the love. In the beginning, he will be worried about being left for longer than 2 hours so will want company most of the time but this can be worked on as he settles in.

If you think you could offer this dog a home they so deserve please contact the Rehoming Centre on 01227 792505 or visit them at: Radfall Road, Chestfield, Nr Whitstable, Kent, CT5 3ER. Opening times are 12pm-4pm everyday except Wednesdays and we are now open late on Thursdays until 8pm.
