XMAS FACTOR 2011 on HEART KENT
November/December 2011
RULES
1. The following rules (“Rules”) together with Global Radio’s ("Global Radio") general and competition terms and conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”) (which can be found at http://www.heart.co.uk/terms-conditions-competition/) apply to ‘Xmas Factor 2011’ radio competition ("the Competition") which will run from Monday 14th November 2011 to Tuesday 13th December 2011 (“the Duration”). The "Radio Station" is Heart Kent.
2. Anyone who enters the Competition (an “Entrant”) will be deemed to have understood these Rules along with the Terms and Conditions and will be bound by them. The Terms and Conditions are available on request from the Radio Station.
Details of the Competition
3. To enter the Competition an Entrant School must go online to www.heart.co.uk and register their details, upload a recording of the school choir (MP3 maximum 1 minute) plus a photo of the school and if possible a logo.
4. Entries can also be sent into Heart Kent via post to: Heart, Radio House, John Wilson Business Park, Whitstable, Kent, CT5 3QX or via email to online@heart.co.uk.
5. Registration to the Xmas Factor 2011 opens at 00.00 on Monday 14th November 2011 and closes at 23.59 on 27th November 2011.
6. Once registration closes 10 schools will be selected on merit from all entries and placed online in a gallery at heart.co.uk alongside a clip of their school choirs audio and logo into a gallery for the public to vote on from Tuesday 29th November 2011.
7. Voting will be open online from 8am on Tuesday 29th November 2011 to 23.50 on Sunday 11th December 2011.
8. The top 10 choirs will be invited to attend the Xmas Factor 2011 final to sing live on stage to the public on the evening of Tuesday 13th December 2011.
9. The overall winner of the Xmas Factor will be announced on stage during the final at Dockside Shopping Centre (time tbc).
Eligibility
10. Open to all schools in Kent & Medway with pupils aged between 4-11years old.
11. Maximum 40 children per entry and performance.
Prize
12. The Winning choir will receive £1,000 cash, up to 40 cinema tickets to a film screening of the schools choice (transport not included) and a tour of Heart studios in Whitstable (transport not included).
13. Each finalist school will receive a trophy, plus a professional photograph of the choir.
14. Global Radio reserves the right to substitute prize.
15. The Trophy's will be handed to the ten finalist choirs at the Xmas Factor 2011 final on Tuesday 13th December 2011.
16. Each of the choirs’ professional photographs will be posted out to the Head Teacher at the choirs’ school or delivered by the Heart Angels.
17. The winning choir will be contacted after the final by Heart to arrange a suitable time for the visit to the Heart studios and to arrange the cinema tickets. (transport is not included in the prize).
