Beauty Products We're Testing This Week...

Here in the Heart office we get to try out lots of gorgeous cosmetics and we'd like to tell you which ones get the team's seal of approval. Check out the latest beauty products that we have given a test run, and read our reviews.

    1. Eyebrows, shaping, plucking, pulling, waxing

      1. Liz Earle Brow Pencil

"The colour of this eye brow pencil by Liz Earle was perfect for me and I love it when you find a good colour match! The application wasn't as smooth as other products I've tried, and I found my brows looked a little more 'pencilled in' than I would usually like. I think that in comparison to my usual 'gel eyebrow product' I would have to choose the gel for a more natural finish. At £11, it's definitely ok on the price side of things and for someone with slightly fuller eyebrows, I reckon it would work a treat!" Laura Stocks, PA / Project Assistant

    2. Bliss Glamour Gloves

      2. Bliss Glamour Gloves

"I have tried using these Bliss Glamour Gloves (£36.80) and am so far pleased with the results. My hands are feeling the change in temperature with the onset of winter and these gloves, containing a gel that is enriched with olive oil, grapeseed oil, and vitamin E, are helping nourish them. Pop them on for 20 minutes (I like to wear them while catching up on TV in bed) and your hands come out feeling softer. They are long-lasting too as you can use them 50 times." Angharad Llewellyn Online Beauty Editor.

    3. Tamaris boot

      3. Tamaris Gold Glitter Riding Boot - ANTIshokk range

"Ok bear with me, I know boots are not beauty products but I have been suffering with plantar fasciitis for the past few weeks and so these boots have been a total godsend. The Tamaris ANTIshokk range builds an exclusive, patented shock absorber in the heel, reducing impact on the foot by up to 50%, making the shoes extremely comfortable and kind to my feet. An let's face it, they look pretty snazzy too." Vino Vethavanam, Managing Editor £69.99

    4. Bliss Triple Oxygen Instant Energizing Mask

      4. Bliss Triple Oxygen Instant Energizing Mask

"I needed a boost for my skin and tried this Bliss Triple Oxygen Instant Energizing Mask (£39.90, 100ml) while having a relaxing bath. With slightly wet hands, I lathered this formula over my face. It comes out as an orange gel initially which smells heavenly. You have to leave it for 5 minutes on your skin, in which time it foams up. My skin glowed for days afterwards, and I'll definitely be using it as part of my weekly beauty regime." Angharad Llewellyn, Online Beauty Editor.

    5. Benefit Porefessional

      5. Benefit Porefessional

"This primer has a slight tint and a matte texture meaning that it's easy to see where you have applied it, and it glides on with a silky smooth finish. It's mega easy to apply and smells delicious. Benefit's Porefessional (£23.50) minimises the appearance of pores, and I've been testing it by using it before slathering on my foundation each morning. It's no wonder that it's a bestseller." Angharad Llewellyn, Online Beauty Editor.

    6. Elemental Herbology

      6. Elemental Herbology Facial Soufflé

"It's the smell that gets me every time! All Elemental Herbology products smell of rich, fresh botanicals bursting with goodness. This Facial Soufflé (£44) is my must-have product for winter. I suffer from dry and flaky skin and as soon as the temperatures drops I get a really uneven skin-tone. It's impossible to apply foundation without it caking. This mask has ended my problems as it repairs and protects overnight. When I wake my skin is dewy and smooth." Catherine Lui, Cosmetic - Category Strategy Manager

    7. Santhilea Magnetic Lash 2-in-1

      7. Santhilea Magnetic Lash 1-2-1

"The Santhilea Magnetic Lash 1-2-1 (£24.99) is a great little kit if - like me - you have short, stumpy lashes that need coaxing into looking longer and fuller. You paint your lashes with the traditional mascara wand, then, using the second bottle, you apply little fibres onto your lashes which magically grow them. Finally, you coat once again in mascara to finish off the look. It actually works, and although it requires a steady hand, I've used it every day since getting hold of it last month." Angharad Llewellyn, Online Beauty Editor.

    8. Bobbi Brown Sparkle Eye Shadow in Bone

      8. Bobbi Brown Sparkle Eye Shadow

"I love a subtle hint of glitter on my eyes for extra, well, sparkle. Party season is nearly here so there's no better time to indulge in sparkle and Bobbi Brown have got it right yet again. I love two shades from the Sparkle Eye Shadow range (£20) - Bone, pictured, is fantastic and the Black Chocolate shade is perfect for my dark skin and lifts my lids without making me look like a 90s pop star. It looks delicious with inky black liner and stays put all day and more importantly, all night." Vino Vethavanam, Heart Online Managing Editor.

    9. Benefit Peek A Bright Eyes

      9. Benefit Peek-A-Bright-Eyes Kit

"This Peek-A-Bright-Eyes kit (£24.50) has earned me compliments for my bigger brighter eyes and it's easy to keep with you in your handbag. You start off with a pale eyeshadow all over the lid, use the dark brown to accentuate the eyes and highlight with the pale pink sparkly shadow. The concealer is a paste which gives your eyes a real 'pop' if you paint it onto the inner of your eyes." Angharad Llewellyn, Online Beauty Editor.

    10. Elemis Spa Home Skin Nourishing Milk Bath

      10. Elemis Spa Home Skin Nourishing Milk Bath

"My skin always reacts to the change of season and I'm prone to dry, ashy skin. The only product that really works is Elemis' Skin Nourishing Milk Bath (£43, 400ml). It's beautifully rich and silky and you can't help feeling like Cleopatra as you sink in to a warm milky bath. It smells of "luxury hotel" and really does nourish my thirsty skin. I also love using it directly on dry patches as a topical treatment. This is a true rescue product and brings my skin back to life during the winter months." Vino Vethavanam, Heart Online Managing Editor.
