We talk to the experts to give you the lowdown on all the styles and colours we'll be sporting this year.
"This year we are seeing the return of shorter hair styles with a strong bold shape on the exterior but with untamed textures and natural movement easily recreated at home using good quality products such as Sebastian Texturizer, Craft Clay and Texture Maker. Short hair styles amazing but require more maintenance than longer cuts and are therefore more of an investment. As the recession eases clients will want the look over budget concerns." says Salon Manager and Style Director Grant Badger.
Kristen Stewart sports a very trendy cut for 2015. Short, messy and with lots of layers.
The short bob sported by Jennifer Lawrence is still huge in 2015. The key is keeping it soft, wavy and boho.
Curly hair can too go shorter, like Nicole Kidman's. The cut may be sharp, but it's softened by ringlets and a side fringe.
"The untamed look will continue through for the medium to longer looks through softer more natural unforced looks created with layers and the help of waves with the revolutionary new Digital Curl, available at the salon." says Grant "The Digital Curl produces semi-permanent waves that last up to 3-4 months, depending on the hair type. Maintain the look at home with the like of Sebastian’s Micro web Fibre, Mousse Forte and Re-Shaper all having great shape memory."
Whether you are brunette, blonde or redhead, strong shades are still as huge as ever, but this year they are softened up with other shades added in "Colour will be filtered, layers of colour that softens black to deep violets and blues" says Grant.
Black hair sees the addition of blues and violets. "Colours can be kept looking their best at home between visits with colour saving products like Wella SP Colour Save range of home care products".
"Reds are lifted slightly creating rich ambers or cognacs", says Grant. "We are seeing a move towards more natural earthy tones and spice colours."
'Blondes this year are taken to the purest white and we'll see a trend that adds the softest hint of pastels" reveals Grant. Dare to go white?
Braids and twists were huge on the catwalk as a trend for 2015 and they are also a great way of looking fabulous when your hair is in between washes. They can be a little tricky to do on your own at first, but there are plenty of tutorials around and you can get a friend around to help you out. (Pic: Instagram)
