The fashion editor and her beau quickly became a trending topic under the hashtag #gioandoscar on Instagram after she shared photos of her opulent nuptials in Capri, Italy.

No penny was spared when it came to the over the top celebration which took place over an entire weekend, after kicking off on the Thursday night when guest jetted into Capri for a rehearsal dinner at exclusive venue Piazza Umberto I.

Making sure to turn heads for the event, Giovanna wore a flirty custom-made Alaïa frock, complete with a stunning feathered skirt and a pricey pair of Aquazurra shoes.

The opulent celebrations continued into Friday, where the couple gathered in front of friends and family at the Punta Carena lighthouse to say 'I do'.

As the sun set on the coat, the couple shared a kiss under confetti from huge cannons in what looked like a scene from a movie.

Giovanna made jaws drop in a voluminous Alexander McQueen gown which featured an embellished corset and a long statement train, but it didn't stop there as she followed up with a string of outfit changes.

Ms Battaglia sipped into a Giambattista Valli party dress for the reception, which came with a pair of thigh high boots, which makes us wonder if money really can't buy taste!

She then had ANOTHER costume change as she opted for glittery frock to party the night away with her guest later on in the evening.

Oh how the other half live eh?
