Nearly 60 years after Barbie became a household name, Mattel have FINALLY got it right!

Bleached blonde hair, impossible body dimensions, skimpy outfits. For the past 59 years, Barbie has been 'inspiring' young girls this way. 

The old fashioned ethos of Barbie has meant that the creators, Mattel, have seen a decline in sales as children no longer treat Barbie as an idol. 

But this new Barbie advert aims to challenge the idea that Barbie is just a bimbo and more of a toy to help young girls imagine that they can be whatever they want to be when they grow up. And it's definitely hit the nail on the head!

See what happens when these young girls are free to imagine that they can be anything. From lecture leaders to vets, witness the children lead classes and cure animals in real-life scenarios.
