Couples Underwear

By Naomi Berners

Forget hoodies, this is WAY more intense.

The key to a harmonious relationship is sharing and caring.

(And patience...and trust...and loyalty...but that's for another day).

Especially when you start living together, and the whole "what's mine is yours and what's yours is mine" thing takes on a whole new meaning.

Sharing the TV remote, sharing the kitchen duties, sharing the chocolate - these are things we've come to expect (or hope to expect anyway!)

But now it seems that we are taking sharing to a whole new level. And, quite frankly, it's PANTS!

No, honestly - it IS pants. If you've ever swiped a pair of your other half's undies then surprisingly you're not alone. Apparently 2 in 5 women between the ages of 18-24 have borrowed their husband's pants more than once in the last year.

But it's not just the women that fancy a change up - approximately 17% of men from the same age group have worn their girlfriends underwear at some point.

Across all age groups, 14% of couples admit to sharing pants with their other half.

We're not underwear experts, but we're thinking a lot of this depends on the style of underwear your partner owns, and what you're choosing to wear that day. We can't imagine a big pair of boxer shorts fitting snugly underneath a pair of stylish skinny jeans somehow!

A spokesperson from Style Compare, who ran the survey, has revealed the main reason for underwear-swappage in relationships. They said: men benefit from designs that put support and comfort first."

It makes sense. And any lifestyle suggestions that promote comfort, we are firmly behind!
