The redevelopment of Battersea Power Station has been given the go-ahead in a project worth over £200million.

Planning application committee chairman Cllr Nick Cuff said: "This scheme would restore one of London's most iconic buildings and create thousands of new jobs and homes. "The two Northern Line stations will spur on the regeneration of Nine Elms and bring a huge economic windfall to this part of south London."

The Grade 2 listed building is having £5.5 billion spent on it - including the two new tube stops.As well as the homes it is thought it will create 15,000 new jobs and training opportunities.
