Boris Johnson To Stand As Mayor Again

10 September 2010, 11:14

Boris Johnson has confirmed to London's Heart that he will be standing for Mayor again.

He says he wants to stay on beyond May 2012, because he has "more do to" improving London and overseeing the Olympics.

Mr Johnson says he didn't make the decision sooner as he wanted to see whether key initatives such as the cycle hire scheme worked.

And he told us he reckons he'll be up against Ken Livingstone again as the Labour Mayoral hopeful, the man he beat in 2008.
