MPs report on public tube bill

A group of MPs has blamed the government for landing the taxpayer with a bill of up to £400m following the collapse of the tube maintenance firm Metronet.

The Public Accounts Committee says the Department for Transport ignored a warning by the National Audit Office to avoid taking a hands-off approach.
